Dr. Margot Ip is currently a Professor and Member in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, N.Y. In addition, she also holds an academic appointment as Professor in the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Cancer Therapeutics, State University of New York at Buffalo, Roswell Park Division.
Dr. Ip received her B.A. in Food Chemistry at the University of Toronto, her M.S. in Nutrition at the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, and her Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin in Madison (1972).
Dr. Ip has published extensively, and is also a reviewer for several scientific journals including Cancer Research, The Journal of Nutrition, Endocrinology, Oncology, Breast Cancer Research and Treatment, etc.
Dr. Ip’s research interests include the role of growth factors in the development and progression of breast cancer, as well as chemopreventive strategies for breast cancer, with a focus on conjugated linoleic acid.
