Mrs. Hayes discussed the importance of clearly communicating nutrition messages to consumers. While dietitians and other health professionals have the nutrition knowledge and scientific background to impart this information, the nutrition messages often get lost in translation. Mrs. Hayes believes that consumers know what they need to do to eat healthier and be more active, but they don’t know how. They therefore need practical, positive, that are adapted to their situation and will encourage them to make these changes.
