New Potential Mechanisms of the Effects of Milk Products on Healthy Weight
Emerging research also indicates a beneficial role for milk products on inflammation and oxidative stress,1 two mechanisms which may be involved in the etiology of obesity and associated complications.
Genomic studies have also demonstrated the beneficial impact of a diet high in calcium and whey protein on gene expression in adipose tissue, including genes involved in insulin, adipocytokine and fatty acid metabolism.2
